posted Apr/28/2015 » Aftanas Surfboards and The Board-Medic Are now hiring.

"We’ll be honest from the start, we’re not looking for someone to shape surfboards for us. We want someone whose willing to grow with the company, and sometimes growth starts from the bottom up. And that may mean sweeping the floors and fetching coffee.

What we need, is someone who loves surfing. Who can talk surfing all day long, with us and the customers. That may mean hearing the surf report while you’re stuck at work. And after eight hours of that, we need someone that still wants to learn more about surfboard design, construction and repair, because we will definitely teach you more than you want to learn about surfboards.

What we want, is someone who can fill our desire to learn and improve too. Do you have talents with Excel, Illustrator or web design? Are you experienced with apparel design? Again, we’re looking for someone who can grow with the company. What can you contribute to our growth?

If you think that we’re the right fit for each other, please send a resume and a short paragraph telling us why we should hire you to boardmedics@gmail.com and only to boardmedics@gmail.com. Applications dropped off to the shop, or to us while we’re putting our wetsuits on, will only show us that we weren’t made for each other, and certainly won’t get you shaping surfboards."
