Hang Tuff - Surfing at the End of the Road
The state of surfing in Tofino told by local surfers and members of the surf industry
Tofino, BC is home to excellent waves and a thriving surf culture, and it's not just a fad. The sport has become an economic foothold for the remote community and a lifestyle choice for many of the people who live there.
Kooks B is now LIVE! A short surf film compiling all of the 'B' footage that didn't make the full-length feature "Kooks 3". Just like the first Kooks, this was never meant to be released or seen by anyone outside of our group of friends. Thank you to everyone who took part in these videos. I hope you've enjoyed watching this saga as much as I've enjoyed making it.

Summer of Shazza The majority of these clips are from the Summer months here in Tofino, when the days are long and the waves are bad. On-shore, soft, mushy, unpredictable, crowds, kooks, and inconsistent. If the waves were a person, they would be the drunk chick at a party. But Shannon Brown rips up these unfavorable conditions while riding the Sled, Option, Raddysh, and Sled R/T.
Shannon Brown and Isaac Raddysh - West Coast - Edit:Marcus Paladino Questionable conditions would cause most surfers to stay home and watch the webcam. But Shannon Brown and Isaac Raddysh would rather be out there getting a handle on the situation. Maybe it's a positive attitude or maybe it's the board. Thank god they both had their Sleds.

Jan/13/2015 at 12pm EST, FREE launched it's first feature documentary called A NEW BREED - a five part series depicting Creator-instigated cultural transformations in Adventure, Style, Arts, Culture and Music.
A NEW BREED was released on The Creator Class, a content creativity channel hosted on YouTube, Instagram and Vimeo, produced by FREE's community of leading visual storytellers. True to the channel's collaborative premise, each chapter of A NEW BREED is produced by directors from a range of fields and genres.
CHAPTER ONE - 'Get Miles Away' Directed, filmed, and edited by Alex Craig, 'Get Miles Away' chronicles the cold water surf exploration of British Columbia-based surf filmmaker Ben Gulliver and surf photographer Jeremy Koreski. Ben and Jeremy are a new breed of adventurer - visual storytellers who collaborate with athletes, adventurers, and lifestyle brands to travel to the edges of the earth to share surf stories.
While tropical destinations are typically the setting for many surf films, Ben and Jeremy's journey is built around the unpredictable, inaccessible far reaches, fifty miles up the coast from Tofino, British Columbia. The doc follows Ben and Jeremy's production process amongst the elements as they capture the cold water surfing skills of local pro surfers, Pete Devries and Noah Cohen.
