Hi! My name is Amy Kukkee, I live in Thunder Bay ONT, I noticed that Greg Lowan had posted some pics from a surf session we had in early november. The first pic with the blue tarp thing (which is our surf sauna - great for keeping us warm inbetween sessions), I am sitting on the beach on a pail with my blue jacket setting up my camera. I thought i would send you some REALLY good pics from that day, we had an awesome long session that day, and a ton of people came and went as well. This series is of Dave (last name?) and it is on the north shore of lake superior, it was taken on November 4, 2005. here is just a little taste of that day.
Here are a few pictures of myself and a few other hardy individuals who make up the Calgary River surfing Scene. Paul Barrett - Kananaskis Alberta - Mid Nov 2005 - Photos:Chris Szampanski

We were extremely excited to discover beautiful chest to head high, clean waves breaking along the "North Shore" of Lake Superior. A very good time was had by all. Jake the surf dog kept watch from the beach. Anyways, hello to everyone back West and please remember to pack your surf gear when you pass through Thunder Bay. Greg Lowan

Here are some crummy photos of some crummy waves. But we had more fun than you can shake a stick at catching them and the fact it was on Canada Day in Canada was fricken perfect. And the quality of the wave in my humble opinion is judged on the fun you had riding it. My name is Johnny Glanville, I am the surfer in these shots and the spot is Balm Beach, Georgain Bay, Ont.

Wyldewood Surf Club was founded by American and Canadian surfers back in the summer of 1965. This photo was taken in May 1999. This is an average "GOOD" day on the North Shore of Lake Erie. It was taken at a break in Port Colborne, Ontario. Yet more proof of surf in the Great Lakes. Also check out the latest issue (August 99) of LONGBOARDER MAGAZINE. There is a great photo of one of our club members taken in December 1998 before the Lake froze up. Stay Stoked... Tim Lee |
