Anthony Hancock - Orcas Island, Aug 07, 2006 |
Orcas Island has a great skatepark/scene. A lot like Saltspring's mellow society. Crazy goobly-goo concrete track lines around a pool coping monster.
Easier to get to from Van than Vic. With a 1 hour ferry from Anacortes to Orcas factored-in, it was 4 hours from "home to skating", not bad. Did some tricks over the door-gap, but mostly just zoomed around. Camping was very easy too.
