The BC Marine Trail Ocean Kayak Marathon is a tradition for paddlers to get out and have fun with the paddling community on English Bay. The 10 km Marathon is for keener paddlers looking for a challenge. Proceeds from this event go to support the B.C. Marine Trail.

10 km Marathon Route - All Ocean Kayakers Welcome!

Beginning at Jericho Sailing Centre the route goes east along the southern shores of English Bay to the red and green fairway buoys located off Kits Point. After circling these buoys to port proceed to the yellow cardinal buoy off Second Beach (before Siwash Rock) and return to the start line at the Jericho Sailing Centre.

Every summer paddlers from near and far converge on the Clearwater river to bask in the Interior B.C. sun and play on the warm, and of course clear, waters of the mighty Clearwater river!The Clearwater paddle fest was brought about to showcase this amazing river over a couple of days where paddlers of all levels can meet, party, boat and relax on and around this gem of a river.

This year we are holding our event in conjunction with the Jericho Sailing Center's Open house. It is for people who have an interest in sailing a canoe or kayak, whether they have been doing so for years or are just thinking about it. This get-together is for like-minded people to share ideas, check out rigs and boats, and to swap stories.

We also welcome all other canoes and kayaks and small beach launch sailboats to join us.
